Ok,
Since we have a new community going, how about we freshen up the old logo. If you have any creative skill or suggestions, feel free to post up images here. Here are a few guidelines that are good to follow. They are not necessarily the "must haves" but will make the logo easier to adapt to embroidery, print, etc. 1. Keep the logo simple. While something might look good blown up on a computer screen, details are often lost when putting a small logo on a shirt or hat or even as an avatar. The logo should be easily recognizable when resized. 2. Keep the colors to a minimum. While colorful logos are nice, keeping colors down to two or three makes printing them much less expensive. 3. Stay away from gradients and shading. Solid colors translate well to print and embroidery. They are also easier to scan/copy/duplicate on multiple formats. 4. If you are not working in a vector format, use large files with DPI of 300 or more. 5. The logo should not contain any copyrighted images or phrases. 6. Use fonts that are Sans-Serif fonts (not times new roman or others that have flares at the end of the letter). An example would be the font on this website. The letters all have squared off or or rounded edges. Good luck! We'll have a vote at the end and the winner will get a free t-shirt along with a prize from JPM. |
